ABOUT AMY DUGAN

She is married to a Jr. high school  teacher and coach and together they
have 2 children and 1 granddaughter. She has a PhD in Molecular
Cellular Physiology. She teaches microbiology, anatomy and physiology
at 2 colleges. She also does medical research which focuses on the
impact of psychogenic stress on the immune response to burn injury,
surgery, infection, and septic shock.
She is a former Reagan Democrat. Bill Clinton's centrist policies made
her a Clinton Democrat.  Starting in 2000 during the Gore campaign she
began saving contact info from volunteers, union leaders and local
politicians all for the day when Hillary Rodham Clinton would run for
President of the US. Once Hillary finally announced in January 2008, Amy
formed the Hillary Clinton Greater Cincinnati/Dayton Meetup group. Her
goal was to sign up as many people for Hillary's website campaign email
updates and grow a grassroots small donor list. She went to fairs and
festivals passing out Hillary stickers in exchange for the contact info.
Hillary then appointed her the Congressional Coordinator for her
district, John Boehner's district. She took off work and traveled, not just
for Hillary, but for herself and her country. The 8 years under President
Bush were devastating on many fronts. She wanted a president that she
knew would fight and at the same time work across the aisle, like Hillary  
did in the Senate, to get things done. She wanted a doer, not a talker.  
She knew it was going to take a Clinton to clean up after a Bush. Obama
said Yes We Can while Hillary said Yes We Will. Volunteering for Hillary
was one of the most wonderful times of her life because of the
candidate's expertise, steadfastness, and candor about what she could
accomplish. When asked if she would do it all over again would she?
You bet. She is currently using the same grassroots techniques that she
performed in Hillary's campaign to promote Bill Clinton's Foundation
work, events, and raise small donor money to replace the huge
donations lost when the market crashed.
